You couldn't wait, could you? Just like all of us. August, central Croatia, friends, good food, drink and pleasantly warm sea, blue-blue sea all around. Yes, Yacht 2022 is here again! So set sail and off we go to sea.

This year, our group has grown a bit again. Well, isn't it a pity to reject friends when they want to come with us, but we plan to go on only three boats? There is a solution – four boats! Throughout the spring and summer months, we organized everything and we can go. I took the captaincy again, this time of our beauty Sveti Ante; it's nice to take turns with friends, given the many extra responsibilities that skippering of the week at sea brings. Our long-term crew harmony showed this time too, and it can be said that year after year, the cruises are better and better with minimal problems even in the worse weather, which caught us a little bit this year on the northern half of the Adriatic, where we headed after a long time. The climate is changing and it can be seen on the sea, when there are more storms which are also stronger, even on the otherwise quiet Adriatic sea. However, many unfortunates from sailing around Corsica could tell this year about it.

We started the voyage in Šibenik and other ports around it, since this year there was quite a rush of boats and they were quickly booked in the post-covid period, so getting four boats in one marina was a superhuman task even well in advance. But that didn't bother us, we formed the fleet during the first day on the way to Žut. Within a week we drove through the Kornati National Park, past Dugi otok all the way to its northern part to the wreck of a merchant ship, which was shipwrecked here relatively recently and today the wreck is a popular site for tourists to snorkel. From the wreck we then returned via Molat and Zadar back to Šibenik. This year, no extra performance for the distance traveled, more for comfort and swimming was planned. Nevertheless, thanks to slightly worse weather, the wind blew for almost a week, so we sailed. A lot, as we all like it. :)

We had a lot of joy this year, too. Intense sailing not only as butterfly. Watching dolphins. Swimming with colorful fish. The sea playing water pipes in Zadar. Croatian ice cream. Stunning views from the surrounding islands. Night crossing and anchoring in the dark. Sailboats jointing and partying until the early hours of the morning. Well, let's hope it's summer again, because Yacht 2023 is coming soon!

You know how it is, the video will say more than a thousand words. I didn't have much time to shoot this year, so Tom did it. Therefore, big thanks to Tomas for shooting and editing! ⛵️💙 And to all this year's crew for another great week at sea! See you soon for the autumn Yacht Afterparty. :)
