One of the best weeks of the year is here again, we are going to sail. This year's (again August) Yacht 2023 can't wait for us to pull out her sails and sail around the islands of central Croatia with friends, good food and drink, taking in the views of sometimes calm, but part of the week also windy and wild Croatian sea. Here to swim, here to snorkel, but most of all - to relax from everyday duties. So come on board with us, our sailboat is departing now.

We set off in three ships, this time from one port. Marina Kremik is a small picturesque marina in a very well-protected bay near Primošten. Thanks to its size, the marina was quite quiet even on Saturday, there was no rush and bustle like in big marinas, we solved the check-in of three ships in less than an hour. Were it not for a slight hitch on the sail of our Lateja and an approaching thunderstorm, we would have set out to sea after check-in very early this year. However, in this way, we set off only on Sunday morning and on the first day we sailed practically all the way to Vis to the former submarine dock. The first half of the week was quite windy due to the passing a pressure low sitting over the whole Eastern Europe, so the next days were quite a struggle to get directly against the strong wind through Vela Luka to Korčula. The sea was sometimes full of broken and large waves, so the crew could try even more complicated sailing in more difficult weather conditions. In Korčula, however, the weather got better, we went to the town for a delicious dinner and the next day we continued again with a day-long great sailing under the breathtaking Biokovo to Makarska and a night cruise back to Hvar to Vrboska. The last leg was a return through the famous Zlatni rat near Bol and Stary Grad with lunch in the historical center back to the marina Kremik.

This year's cruise was one of the more sporty ones. The wind was blowing pretty fast most of the week, so the standard weekly distance was covered, too. But most importantly, even this year the crew experienced intense sailing not only on a butterfly (downwind goose wing), warm sea for swimming, walks on the islets and peninsulas of the islands, magical sunsets, crossing at night and anchoring in the dark, sailboats jointing and partying until the early morning hours and dawn on board. Just everything that goes with the annual Yacht.

Big thanks to Tom and Tereza for photos, videos and editing this year's teaser! Also to this year's crew for a great week together. Greetings from the Yacht Afterparty, we have no choice but to look forward to The Yacht 2024 again!
