I was a part of the realization group at MUNI cooperating in the project with Slovak and Hungarian partners at Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice and University of Pécs, respectively. The project was focused on the promotion of excellent research realized in V4 countries on the scientific conferences abroad. The scientific goal of this project was the development of the fast, effective, and cheap non-enzymatic sensor for diabetes diagnostic. It is, partially,

  1. development of a nanostructured non-enzymatic insulin sensor with the highest sensitivity,
  2. understanding the catalytic effect of nanoparticles modifying the surface of an electrochemical sensor,
  3. study of the morphology of electrode surfaces in relation to the electron transfer kinetics in the oxidation process of insulin,
  4. investigating both states of insulin (native and denaturated) in relation to the structure of insulin adsorbed on electrode surfaces,
  5. finding the answer which tyrosine can be oxidized in the insulin molecule.

I was responsible for the spectroelectrochemical experiments with the sensors. Some workshops and conferences attendable for public were prepared within this project. If you are interested in this project, please, contact me or Prof. Trnková directly for more information or you can check the website of LABIFEL laboratory.
